Our client is looking for VIRTUALIZATION SPECIALIST located in Metro Detroit
SUMMARY
The virtualization specialist takes charge of overseeing virtualized servers, storage, and data backup systems, including their configurations, monitoring, and testing. This role serves as an expert within the IT and Networking team, responsible for maintaining the platforms and infrastructure that support the company's products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Configure virtual infrastructure clusters on production
Implement monitoring for the proactive detection of any issues
Fine tune the virtual server and storage environments for performance and resource consumption
Maintain deployment and operational standards and requirements
Participate in disaster recovery strategy
Propose solutions to be analyzed and implemented
Document process and procedures
Develop scripting and automation to improve operational activities and projects
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years of experience in virtualization deployments
