VENTEON Finance is hiring a Temporary Accountant to provide support in Troy, MI. You will provide support for transactional accounting activities such as paying vendor bills, generating invoices for services, reconciling accounts, and posting cash to client accounts.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. Hybrid after training\. 3 Month Contract PAY: 25.00 to $35.00 per hour.
Requirements of the Accounting Specialist:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business nice to have. Not required.
4 or more years of experience working in Accounting and understanding of the principles of Accounting.
Work experience that includes paying vendors, generating invoices, banking, reconciling accounts, month end close, journal entries, etc.
Ability to work with accuracy and maintain work schedules.
Technical Skills with Sage Intaact and MS Office including strong Excel skills.
Ability to start quickly after an employment offer is made.
Duties of the Accounting Specialist:
Management of accounts payable processing, monitoring vendor invoicing, overseeing AP workflow program, general ledger classification and processing vendor payments.
Accurate and timely processing and coding of cash activity, expense reports, accounts receivable billing, and cash controls
Assist in a GAAP compliant close, including account analysis, journal entry preparation, reconciliations and workpaper preparation.
Cash forecasting and management
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
