Our client is looking for a Telematics Release Engineer in Troy
 

Overview
We are seeking a Mobile Applications Engineer to build and support connected vehicle solutions, developing mobile apps that interact with vehicle systems, cloud platforms, and user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mobile applications that interface with vehicle systems and connected services

  • Define vehicle-side requirements enabling mobile control of features and access to vehicle data

  • Develop secure connectivity between mobile apps and vehicle modules (ECUs, diagnostics, OTA updates)

  • Collaborate on vehicle architecture, mobile frameworks, and Android/iOS application development

  • Implement security measures to protect vehicle networks and safety-critical systems

  • Work with third-party vendors on requirements, testing, and validation

  • Support system testing, validation, and internal test environment setup

  • Document architecture, processes, and development standards

  • Conduct benchmarking and support technology roadmap for connected vehicle and infotainment features

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of mobile development experience with cloud-integrated applications

  • Strong experience with Android (Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift)

  • Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications

  • Familiarity with Bluetooth, USB, Android Auto, or Apple CarPlay

  • Experience with system architecture in connected or embedded environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master s degree in a related field

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • Familiarity with DevOps / DevSecOps tools

  • Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools

  • Knowledge of automotive systems (FOTA, cybersecurity, vehicle protocols)

  • Experience with tools such as CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, or ETAS INCA
