Our client, a leading provider of automated material handling solutions in Novi, MI is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. This position is operating on a Hybrid schedule of 3 days/week in office.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Tax Accountant

• Prepare file-ready federal and state corporate tax returns and workpapers
• Prepare quarterly provision timely and accurately
• Review fixed assets for tax depreciation
• Prepare filed ready local business returns
• Research projects as assigned
• Identify tax savings opportunities
• Attend R&D tax credit meetings and assist with documentation
• Audit support
• Other projects as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of the Tax Accountant

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years’ experience in a corporate tax setting and or public accounting
• Experience with tax provision software preferred
• Experience with an ERP system preferred
• Strong excel skills desired
