Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturer located in Novi, MI is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. This position is operating on a Hybrid schedule of 3 days/week in office.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Tax Accountant

Prepare file-ready federal and state corporate tax returns and workpapers
Review fixed assets for tax depreciation
Prepare filed ready local business returns
Research projects as assigned
Identify tax savings opportunities
Prepare files for quarterly tax provision
Prepare files necessary for sales tax return preparation
Prepare and file local business license taxes
Maintain compliance calendar
Audit support as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of the Tax Accountant

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent
2-4 years experience in a corporate tax setting
Experience with SAP or large ERP system preferred
Strong excel skills desired
