Our client in Romulus, MI is in need of a Supplier Quality Engineer
Include but are not limited to:
- Minimum 2-5 years of specific experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, preferably with plastics.
Tier 1 Auto Supplier experience preferred.
Desired competencies/experiences include Disciplined Problem Solving, PPAP, FMEA, and strong IATF16949 and Q1 background, internal auditor experience. Demonstrated ability to evaluate Control Plans, FMEAs, Process Flow diagrams, and conduct PPAPs. 5 years+ Experience in the Engineering and Manufacturing of similar commodities. Fluent in both Spanish and English a plus.

Other qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Hands-on experience establishing, auditing, leading and maintaining an IATF quality system. Experience working as a QE, or SQE in a manufacturing environment utilizing an IATF quality system. Ability to read and interpret GD&T and engineering drawings. Experience in DFMEA, PFMEA, process control plans and technical process documentation. Trained in and have knowledge of root cause analysis, six sigma, CA processes. Experience working directly with suppliers. ASQ certification preferred.Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word). Ford and Six Sigma experience preferred.
Travel & casual overtime may be required. . Increased occasions of the aforementioned expected during launches.
