Sr. Design Release Engineer- Electronics
Minimum 5 Years experience in Design Release Engineering
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Senior Design Release to fill a opening with a manufacturing company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have a background in design engineering, with experience in electronics ideally focused on safety products in automotive.
Requirements of the Design Release Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or similar
8+ years of vehicle design in embedded electronics in the automotive industry
Leadership of cross functional teams touching / integrating software, hardware, systems and manufacturing
Knowledge of CAN-FD, LIN protocol and physical topology requirements
Experience with CATIA V5 and Windchill PLM
Experience with DFMEA, PPAP's, Control Plans, etc.
Problem solving skills and experience with tools such as 8D, 5 Why and Fishbone diagrams

Responsibilities of the Design Release Engineer
Develop functional requirements for passive safety electronics components
Develop and document test plans for the required switches and actuators
Release the component part numbers in the PLM system and maintain release schedules
Lead DFMEA review to identify technical issues and potential problems and drive product development and controls logic to reduce failures
