SUMMARY
This cybersecurity professional brings deep industry knowledge and serves as both an internal and external Cybersecurity expert across several core areas of expertise include securing cloud environments, managing identity and access (IAM), protecting network infrastructures, and implementing cybersecurity measures for operational technology (OT) and SCADA systems. Additional strengths include red team assessments, hardening of operating systems and applications, and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocol stacks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and defines security requirements through comprehensive risk assessments, threat modeling, system testing, and analysis of current solutions.
Creates strategic action plans covering policy development, governance, system hardening, security monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and mitigation of emerging cyber threats.
Stays current with evolving technology trends and organizational direction to select cost-effective, appropriate security platforms.
Maintains active relationships with key cybersecurity organizations to remain informed on the latest industry developments and best practices.
Architects and plans security solutions that enable the organization to effectively identify, protect against, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Maintains deep expertise in cybersecurity trends, risks, and mitigation strategies. Serves as a recognized authority on information protection and industry security standards within the company.
Conducts research, evaluates ROI, negotiates, and advises on security infrastructure initiatives, collaborating closely with other IT teams to implement cutting-edge solutions.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to promote the adoption of secure software and hardware design practices and to integrate cybersecurity best practices across the organization.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred)
10+ years experience within highly technical IT/Cybersecurity roles
Industry certifications (e.g. SCCP, CISSP, CCNA, Security+, GIAC)
