Senior Accounting Manager with manufacturing industry experience

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Manager for a leading manufacturing company located in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. This key position is responsible for leading and managing a finance function and supporting an effective internal and external financial reporting process. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced finance professional with management experience, relevant financial and accounting experience.

Requirements of the Senior Accounting Manager

• Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master degree preferred

• 7+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles with increasing responsibilities, including managing and developing people and teams

• Big Four public accounting experience preferred; CPA preferred

• Expertise and technical acumen in technical accounting (e.g., US GAAP) and financial reporting

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data into trends, assessments, and actionable insights and opportunities

• Experience with special projects, transaction, and continuous improvement projects

Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Manager

• Oversee a finance and accounting team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close, accounting, and reporting activities

• Partner with the operations teams to drive analysis and understanding of current and budgeted/forecasted financial results and facilitate business decision-making based on data and analysis completed

• Perform technical accounting research on complex accounting issues, monitor prospective accounting changes, evaluate impact, and ensure proper adoption

• Support the consolidation and reporting process, including the identification and implementation of efficiency opportunities, as well as guiding the enhancements, upgrades, and transformation of the systems and related financial reporting and business processes

• Provides effective leadership and support to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
