Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant-Tax for a leading manufacturing company located in the Ann Arbor area. This position will be responsible for a variety of tax and accounting related tasks across the family of companies.
Requirements of the Senior Accountant
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or related field
3 to 5 years of experience in accounting/tax
Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel
Prior experience with various business taxes.
Prior experience in Manufacturing or Consumer Goods
Experience working within an ERP system.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
Prepare month-end journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations related to various tax accounts.
Calculate and remit various taxes filings.
Monitor sales tax nexus using Avalara Software and work with the Controller and CFO regarding registration needs.
Coordinate and process various tax returns.
Manage the payment of various business tax payments.
Address tax related notices, working with states and localities as needed.
Assist with account analysis for external auditors.
