VENTEON is hiring a 1st Shipping/Receiving position for a client in Auburn Hills, MI
POSITION TYPE: 90 Day Contract to Hire
PAY RATE: $16.00-$19.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience. Overtime at time and one half.
HOURS: 1st Shift 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
Must be able to come in at 6:00 am (if needed)
Requirement of the 1st Shipping/Receiving position
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years of experience working in a Shipping/Receiving Department for a manufacturing company
- This is a HANDS-ON role!
- Experience driving a Hi-Lo
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Key Accountabilities
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Affixes shipping label on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment .
