5 plus years of Tax Compliance & Planning experience

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Senior Corporate Tax Specialist for a leading insurance company. This position is responsible for federal and state tax compliance and tax planning activities relating to the Insurance Company and its affiliates.

Requirements of the Senior Corporate Tax Specialist

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree in taxation preferred.
• Federal, State, and local tax experience required.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting tax and/or corporate tax department preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.

Responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Tax Specialist

• Prepares state and local tax returns including premium, sales & use and income.
• Works directly with state and local tax authorities to resolve return issues.
• Maintains the tax compliance calendars.
• Assists in the preparation of various components of federal income tax returns.
• Assists in the preparation of statutory, GAAP and IFRS financial statement tax provisions.
• Researches federal and state tax matters, making recommendations based on analysis.
