Venteon Finance is currently seeking a SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT for a growing and profitable client in Southeast Michigan.
REQUIREMENTS of the Senior Property Accountant role
Bachelor s degree in Accounting
3+ years of Staff / General Ledger Accounting experience
Multi-Entity structure experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Property Accountant
Ensures proper accounting of all operating functions impacting property P&L.
Reviews monthly reconciliations and tasks assigned to Associate Accountants, offering assistance where needed.
Assists Property Accounting Supervisor in training of new staff.
Analyzes and reconciles the activities in certain balance sheet accounts such as cash, prepaid expenses, accrued receivables/payables, and other assets/liabilities. Prepares adjusting journal entries and schedules as needed.
Reviews and approves all Accounts Payable invoices for appropriate GL coding and proper GAAP accounting treatment
Prepares work papers for quarterly reviews and annual audits as assigned
Performs complex, multi-entity tasks that involve research and reconciliation of accounting data.
Assists Property Accounting Supervisor with corporate GL maintenance and preparing consolidated financial statements
Other duties as assigned
