Venteon Finance is currently seeking a SENIOR MANAGER, TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING for a growing publicly traded client in Ann Arbor. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Manager will be involved in ensuring proper accounting treating according to GAAP, as well as SEC Reporting responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS of the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting
Minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Accounting
CPA Designation required
3 5+ years of experience with SEC Reporting and Technical GAAP in a public company setting
Previous Big 4 Public Accounting experience highly preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting
Work collaboratively with Accounting Operations, Finance, Investor Relations, and other key team members on the drafting, review, and publication of the Company s required filings (i.e., 10Q, 10K).
Provide support for quarterly reviews and the annual audit performed by the Company s independent auditor
Research and document emerging topics applicable to external reporting.
Serve as a key support for the Company s internal controls environment.
Prepare and maintain schedules and workbooks that support information as presented in the Company s published financial statements.
File and remit taxes and other related financial obligations.
Assist with accounting policy and procedure documentation.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
