Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant for an opportunity with an Automotive Manufacturing Company located in Metro Detroit, MI.

Requirements of the Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, sumif/s, pivot tables, and charts).
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques, as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision or a comparable ERP system preferred.
  • Quoting experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership.

Responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Cost Accountant
  • Develop, review, and maintain product costing.
  • Assist with auditing physical inventory and cycle count results.
  • Complete monthly inventory reconciliations from General Ledger to subledger.
  • Prepare periodic (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) reports and statistical analysis reflecting financial results & other KPIs.
  • Conduct profit margin and variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Calculate & audit labor and overhead rates.
  • Prepare actual vs. plan (budget) analysis and departmental costing reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information.
  • Assist with annual budgeting activities and prepare recurring & cost-related journal entries.
  • Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations and RFQ activities across multiple product lines.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and assist with all audits and compliance activities.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and analyses as assigned.
