Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Controller to fill an opening with a well-established and rapidly growing company that is based in Jackson, Michigan.
Requirements of the Controller
Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance
8+ years of relevant accounting experience within a manufacturing, cannabis, or agricultural company
CPA or CMA designation.
Working knowledge of GAAP
Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Requirements of the Controller
Manage finance department and provide oversight of the day-to-day activities for the accounting department.
Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly financial reporting & analysis.
Coordinate month end reporting with other business segments and month end consolidation
Oversee and coordinate the annual financial statement audit and income tax requirements.
Respond to inquiries from the CFO and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results and other reporting requests.
Prepare and track all treasury functions including the reconciliation of the company s bank accounts and debt service on loan obligations.
Support budget & forecasting activities
Take a leadership role in the implementation of the company s new ERP system.
Manage the day-to-day direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Assistant Controller, AP, AR, Credit and Cost Accounting personnel.
