SUMMARY
Our client, is a growing, non-manufacturing company, in the Metro Detroit area. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES of Senior Accountant
- Manage financial records and reporting, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close activities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by contributing to the preparation and review of annual budgets, performance projections, and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure accounting accuracy and audit readiness by cleaning up transactions, handling intercompany reconciliations, compiling cash reports, and assisting with external audit preparation.
- Oversee compliance and internal controls, maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury functions, conducting internal audits, and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
- Provide direct support to the Corporate Controller by responding to financial inquiries, reviewing financial statements, meeting reporting deadlines, and assisting with ad hoc projects as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of Senior Accountant
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting required
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting required
- High level of US GAAP knowledge
- Excellent communication, people, written and presentation skills
- Team player who can work well with other functional groups
