SENIOR ACCOUNTANT TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING Our client is a reputable, well-established company and a leader within their industry. The company is seeking a qualified and highly motivated accounting professional.
Overview:
The Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting will be part of the Controller s department that is responsible for performing accounting functions such as external financial reporting, research and writing position papers as well as the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statement filings
As a member of this team, the Senior Accountant will be performing a wide variety of accounting initiatives involving following GAAP and accounting theory
Position is newly created due to recent growth and needs.
Requirements:
5+ years of related experience in the accounting field.
Public Accounting experience is preferred.
Strong analytical skills
CPA is a plus and preferred.
Solid knowledge of GAAP and ability to interpret appropriately.
Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
Job Description:
Research and document conclusions in formal accounting papers
Apply knowledge of technical accounting to complex accounting questions
Help coordinate and write quarterly and annual disclosures
Lead implementation of new accounting standards
Execute month, quarterly and year-end accounting functions
Financial statement preparation and analysis
