Our client in Farmington Hills has an immediate opportunity with a daytime shift:
Provide quality inspection on all devices to ensure they meet our standards functionally and cosmetically.
The Quality Technician is primarily responsible for testing/inspecting mobile devices or other items as needed. This includes stock for finished goods inventory, customer returns, and trade-in devices. The technician will need to ensure proper functionality of these devices as well as be able to root cause device issues and confirm customer issues experienced in the field.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Testing/Inspecting Mobile devices and other devices as needed manually and/or through diagnostics.
• Evaluate device cosmetics against acceptable standards.
• Evaluate and sort damaged devices for repair.
• Root-cause device issues, determine customer neglect, confirm customer issues.
• Clear devices of customer data through factory reset or utilizing device clearing equipment.
• Utilize RF testing to validate device signal quality.
• Achieve expected daily/hourly goals for the position assigned.
• Track devices inspected per requirements of position assigned.
• Willingness to be flexible to work in other departments/areas depending on resource needs for the day.
• Follow direction well, in addition to suggesting improvements and offering solutions to problems.
Qualifications/Skill Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Experience with Warehouse Management System a plus.
• Quality inspection experience or equivalent education.
• Works well in team settings.
• Able to stand or sit for extended periods or entire shifts.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Wireless and/or consumer electronics industry knowledge and experience preferred.
