Quality Manager

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Requirements of the Quality Manager

• Bachelor s degree in Quality Engineering or related technology, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in an automotive manufacturing facility that offered the opportunity to gain a well-rounded background in quality (assembly and injection mold experience preferred)
• 3+ years of Management or Supervision experience
• IATF16949 experience; VDA experience a plus.

Responsibilities of the Quality Manager

• Evaluate and develop improved techniques for control of quality and reliability.

• Work with Engineering on process and engineering changes.

• Represent the quality function on technical support, in conjunction with other internal support groups, regarding issues affecting manufacturing;

• Ensure production is producing quality products to specifications. Champions interdisciplinary teamwork to ensure goals are accomplished and communication occurs between the function and Ops team.

• Assures balance of resource allocation, dollars, and equipment to support timely project completion. Manages budget, resource dollars, and equipment.

• Maintain quality control sampling system, procedures, APQP, PPAP and IMDS activities;

• Manage, audit and continuously improve IATF16949 systems as well as Customer Specific Requirements;

• Will participate in or conduct internal audits;
