PROGRAM MANAGER - HILLSDALE, MICHIGAN
A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Hillsdale, Michigan area needs a Program Manager. Previous Automotive Program Management Experience is Required. A Bachelor s Degree is desired but not required. CNC Machining Expertise is strongly preferred.
This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report timing plan deliverable risks to internal and external management. Act as key customer interface and first point of escalation for program deliverable issues.
Ensure all tasks are performed for flawless launch of new businesses adhering to the Company s Launch Process (ALP) and program timing requirements. Facilitate resolution of open issues and lead process for decision disposition ensuring all customer concerns have responses and containment statements.
Cascade lessons learned from one program to other programs by making required process changes/additions. Ensure a robust engineering change management plan in place to respond to customers in a timely manner to new change requests, communicate with team members and to implement all changes to promised timing and within budget.
Ensure all program/APQP tasks are tracked and executed for on-time PPAP and tooling payments. Manage and encourage cost savings efforts at the plants on new programs. Facilitate program review meetings to ensure compliance and ensure program management teams are meeting timing, tracking engineering changes, developing BOM, communicating to key stakeholders (customer, plants, functional leaders) on critical path items.
Deliver financial commitments by overseeing issues relating to quality, cost, as well as controlling budget, tracking financial status, and adhering to the program schedule with set customer milestones. Actively participate in coaching and training efforts to build bench-strength and organizational capabilities as well as create a high-performance work environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must Have Previous Experience as a Program Manager for an Automotive Supplier.
Knowledgeable in CNC Machining and other Metal Working Processes is Preferred. Experience dealing with Complexity of Parts and Tighter Tolerances is Preferred.
Automotive Project Management Experience is needed. Proficient knowledge of program budgets. Expert knowledge of build and launch processes / procedures along with ability to develop, manage and maintain standardized procedures.
Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills. Understanding of GD&T and product design
A Bachelor s Degree in Engineering is Preferred. Relevant Work Experience in Automotive Program Management is Required.
