Production Engineering Manager
Minimum 15 Years experience in Automotive Manufacturing
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Production Engineering Manager to fill an opening with an Automotive Supplier located in Muscle Shoals, AL. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience in plastic injection molding, as well as a proven track record as a leader.
Requirements of the Production Engineering Manager
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of Engineering Leadership experience
- 5+ years of Plastic Injection Molding experience
- RGJ certification or journeyman experience a plus

Responsibilities of the Production Engineering Manager
- Plans and directs all production engineering activities and personnel within the plant, ensuring proper and effective support of new product launches by the production engineering department
- Ensures process control systems for all production processes, and provides adequate training to the manufacturing groups to assure capability of implementing control system
- Oversees the on-time input of the BOM/routings, and ensures that production rates and machine cycle times are available for input for all new products per the established project plan
- Helps to develop plant layouts and materials/product flow plans via internal and/or external sources
- Assists in the preparation of Process Failure Mode and Effect Analyses (PFMEA), Process Design Sheets, Process Flow Diagrams, and other Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities
- Ensures proper utilization of equipment through updating engineering standards (i.e. production rates, machine load)
- Ensures the on-time delivery of all equipment necessary to support new product launches
- Leads and/or participates in all continuous improvement activities within area of responsibility, as well as the implementation of rationalization efforts
