PLANT MANAGER NEEDED - DUNDEE, MICHIGAN AREA
A Leading Manufacturing Company near Dundee, Michigan needs a Plant Manager. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Plant Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all operational departments within our metal forming manufacturing facility. Your role will require strong leadership qualities, a focus on maintaining inventory levels, ensuring on-time delivery, upholding safety, quality standards, and managing project execution.
1. Departmental Oversight:
Manage and lead all operational departments, including production, quality control, die repair, maintenance, scheduling, and logistics.
Manage and maintain operations culture in alignment with the Company's values
Develop and implement departmental strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
2. Leadership & Team Development:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to department heads and their teams.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely production and delivery.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce carrying costs.
4. On-Time Delivery:
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize shipping and delivery processes.
5. Safety and Quality Standards:
Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
Uphold and improve product quality standards through regular inspections and process improvements.
6. Project Management:
Lead and coordinate various projects within the manufacturing facility.
Ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
7. ISO 9000 Compliance:
Utilize your ISO 9000 experience to maintain and improve the company's quality management system.
Prepare for and participate in ISO audits to ensure compliance.
8. Cost Control:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement cost-effective measures.
Monitor and manage the plant's budget effectively.
9. Continuous Improvement:
Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices.

10. Reporting and Communication: - Provide regular reports to senior management on plant performance, operational metrics, and project status. - Collaborate with other departments to align goals and expectations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in a plant management role within the metal forming manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and experience with quality management systems.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
At least 10 years of manufacturing experience
Previous ISO-9000 or related experience
Knowledge of PLEX System
Management courses or equivalent experience
