SUMMARY
Our client is a large, privately held manufacturing company. They are seeking a Plant Controller to add to their growing team. The Plant Controller function includes monthly preparation of financial statements/analysis, as well as looking for process improvement in the month end close cycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Plant Controller
- Plant Controller is main point of contact to all functional groups/departments on accounting and finance items in this facility
- Plant Controller will have lead role in the month end close, annual forecast and financial analysis
- Plant Controller will work with external auditors as needed
- Plant Controller will review and oversight of standard cost maintenance
- Plant Controller will have detailed knowledge of profitability analysis and key accounting/finance items
- Plant Controller will develop, implement, monitor, and constantly improve financial control systems
- Plant Controller will mentor and develop direct reports in helping identify areas of improvement in a positive manner

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of Plant Controller
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting/Finance required
- MBA or CPA (or parts passed towards CPA) designation preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance required preferably in a manufacturing company
- High level of US GAAP and FP&A process knowledge
- Excellent communication, people, written and presentation skills
- Team player who can work well with other functional groups
