Venteon Finance is currently seeking a PLANT CONTROLLER for a long time manufacturing client company located in the Asheville, NC area.
REQUIREMENTS of the Plant Controller role
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting / Finance
- 5+ years of Manufacturing industry / Plant level experience
- Strong ERP Systems experience
- MBA or CPA preferred but not required
- Supervisory experience
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Plant Controller
- Prepares Daily, Weekly & Monthly financial reports, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and overall strategic planning
- Responsible for internal controls and SOX compliance at the plant level
- Analyze and accurately report current month s financial results to the plant and corporate management in accordance with corporate format and time requirements
- Identifies cost reduction and profit improvement opportunities and makes appropriate recommendations for implementing plans to address them
- Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results. Investigate and explain book to physical adjustments
- Perform audits of bills of materials and Routings to ensure product costs are accurate and accounted for properly
- Preparation of capital forecasts with local management and submits them to corporate as required
- Create a value stream approach for finance/accounting department within the location
