Venteon Finance is currently seeking a PLANT CONTROLLER for a growing manufacturing client located in the Battle Creek, MI. The Plant Controller will function as a strategic partner for the Plant Manager, providing strong financial leadership for the plant.
REQUIREMENTS of the Plant Controller role
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CMA Designation highly preferred
Prior Plant Controller experience desired
Demonstrated success of driving results to meet or exceed plan
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Plant Controller
Drive actual results to achieve/exceed Plan. Continuously monitor variances, identify risks and opportunities, and initiate corrective actions
Identify/initiate actions to improve profitability and asset turns
Provide timely and relevant management reporting and actionable analysis to line managers to support fact-based decisions
Coordinate the annual planning and budgeting process to ensure the development of realistic plans focused on continuous improvement and supported by action plans to assure successful achievement of planned results
Ensure that accounting records and monthly financial statements are complete, accurate, and prepared in accordance with GAAP
Coordinate and prepare accurate, reality-based forecasts including in-depth analyses, identifying corrective actions
Ensure that internal controls and procedures are effective
Develop accurate standard costs on an annual basis, ensuring a thorough understanding of variable, semi-variable, and fixed costs that can be used for variance analysis and decision-making purposes
