VENTEON / Harvard Resource Solutions is hiring a PAYROLL AND BENEFITS GENERALIST to provide support in Wixom, MI. You will be the sole person processing multistate payroll for 250 employees. In addition, you will manage the benefits programs for the company.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. Direct Hire. Onsite M-F
PAY: $75,000 to $85,000 annually based on education and experience level. PTO and benefits provided.
Requirements of the Payroll and Benefits Generalist:
Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources desired, not required.
Minimum 7 years of work experience with multistate payroll and benefits management.
Seeking an organized individual who connects and interfaces with people well. A person who genuinely enjoys supporting employees. An employee who pays close attention to details.
Current knowledge in relevant laws, payroll taxes and regulations.
Technical skills with MS Office including Excel. Experience with payroll software / HRIS systems.
Prior experience with UKG is highly desirable, Kronos software knowledge is a plus.
Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
Experience with EHS (Employee Health and Safety) is a plus.
Duties of the Payroll and Benefits Generalist:
Full responsibility for the production of payroll for 250 employees working in the engineering and manufacturing industry. This includes processing salary and hourly employee time sheets and special pay types, PTO calculations, deductions, garnishments, expense reimbursements, adjustments, etc.
Maintain up to date employee information in HRIS including addresses, banking, taxes, and other deductions.
Provide benefits administration by maintaining up to date knowledge of the details on all plans offered, managing annual open enrollment, enrolling/disenrolling employees ongoing, reconciling monthly carrier invoices, addressing all questions regarding eligibility and company policies from the staff, and handling payroll and benefits communications.
Produce specific payroll and benefits reporting and requests for information. Provide information to accounting and human resources teams. Collaborate and problem solve issues as they arise.
Provide support for all internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations minimizing risk for the company.
Take part in continuous improvement activities.
