VENTEON Finance is hiring a PART TIME BOOKKEEPER to provide support in Southfield, MI. You will assist a corporation in Accounting, Finance, and month end close.
JOB TYPE: Part time. Long term contract. In office. PAY: $25.00 - $31.25 per hour based on education/skills.
Requirements of the Bookkeeper:
A Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance is desired. Will also consider solid work history in bookkeeping.
Excellent Accounting and Financial Analysis skills, Knowledge of GAAP.
Transactional accounting experience with A/P, A/R, Reconciling accounts, and bank accounts. Experience supporting month end close activities.
Technical skills: Extensive work experience using QuickBooks required. Strong MS Excel skills including macros and pivot tables.
Prior experience working in the financial services industry or corporate work environment.
Duties of the Bookkeeper:
Assist in managing accounts payable/receivable, cash, and general ledger.
Bank reconciliations.
Full cycle accounting from GL entry to month end close preferably in the financial services industry.
Accounts Payable- accurate, timely payment to vendors.
Create and send invoices to customers, follow up for payments, apply /forecast cash.
Provide support for month end close activities.
Maintain journal entries and account reconciliations Manage Intercompany transactions.
Supporting the payroll and tax processes as needed.
Generate management/Regulatory reporting.
Provide financial information to meet gov t regulations.
Provide support for internal/audits.
Use advanced skills in MS Excel to pull data and produce reports to support the decision-making process.
Make recommendations based on findings.
