VENTEON Finance is hiring a PART TIME ACCOUNTING MANAGER to provide support for a startup software company. Generate SaaS subscription billing and process revenue recognition in Chargebee application, handle banking, and perform GL accounting activities.
POSITION TYPE: Part Time 2-3 days per week depending on business activity. Remote position open to residents of the state of Michigan. Rate is open. Saend your salary requirement with your resume.
Requirements of the Accounting Manager:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related required. Understanding accounting principles.
Five years of accounting management or controlling work experience.
SaaS Software as a Service industry experience needed.
Experience with revenue recognition activities.
Ability to create, analyze, reconcile, and modify journal entries for month end close.
Experience in banking/bank reconciliations.
Prior work experience at Accounting Manager or Controller level.
A person with a flexible work schedule able to work part time.
Preference for a person already experienced in working effectively remotely. Proactive, self-sufficient, and organized.
TECHNICAL: Current work experience using the Chargebee application for revenue recognition and subscription billing required. Skills with MS Office. Advanced Excel (i.e., pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas)
Duties of the Part TimeAccounting Manager
Assisting the VP of Finance to complete ongoing items.
Support the team in the newly installed Chargebee Application.
Setup new billing subscriptions and manage current subscriptions. Generate monthly subscription billing.
Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Manage SaaS (Software as a Service) revenue recognition. (Software development/licensing)
Processing journal entries to the general ledger. (AR, DR, Revenue, Bad Debt, Sales tax, etc.)
Reconciling bank and credit card accounts monthly.
Sales & Use Tax filings.
Working with finance and business teams in analyzing income and expenses.
Analyze, develop, and implement accounting processes ongoing.
