Venteon Finance is currently seeking an Operations Accountant for a growing non-automotive manufacturing client in Ann Arbor. This role is responsible for working cross-functionally with the Operations team on proper accounting application, analysis, and key accounting deliverables in support of monthly and quarterly close processes
REQUIREMENTS of the Operations Accountant
Minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Accounting
5+ Years of related experience
Plant level / Operational Accounting experience including Costing experience
Strong ERP Systems experience
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Operations Accountant
Work proactively with Operations staff at multiple manufacturing sites on accounting tasks, including Costing, Inventory, Labor Analysis, and Fixed Assets
Lead cost reduction and margin improvement projects.
Timely and accurately record entries in accordance with the corporate closing schedule and SOX 404 policies
Liaise with IT on the Company s ERP configuration and control.
Assist with the integration of acquisitions into the Company s ERP system
Employ a continuous improvement mindset and proactively seek, recommend, and implement process and system-related enhancements that result in efficiency and/or increased control and reliability
Prepare schedules to support journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, quarterly reviews, and annual audits
Perform other duties, as assigned.
