Our client is looking for a Network Engineer

Under moderate supervision and following standard procedures with some independent judgment, develop and maintain data network communication systems by performing the following duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Related to data networking systems, areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following: switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and access points, VPN concentrators and clients, network support services, network protocols, network security, network protocol analyzers, and network-based management systems).
 

Triage and general troubleshooting efforts for all priority 2 and 3 network infrastructure-related incidents or problems.
Configuration of remote worker VPN routers.
Configuration of access-layer switch ports for user or printer connections as requested by the Service Desk.
Device configuration, logging, and hardening compliance audits to align with existing network infrastructure standards.
Hardware commission/decommission procedures to align with existing network hardware standards.
Inventory compliance/configuration-item upkeep in ServiceNow to align with existing standards.
Network device vulnerability analysis and remediation research to align with existing standards.
Network infrastructure monitoring using various systems and incident creation when items are out of spec.
Identify repeatable processes suitable for automation.
Network mapping and knowledge documentation.
On-site resource for hands-on work, SME for on-prem collab systems, pending the new employee is located near Frankenmuth.
TC closet cable management compliance to align with existing standard
 

Required Experience:
Bachelor s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience managing an enterprise phone system is required. Experience with Cisco Unified communications and collaboration tools would be preferred.
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
