MOLD ENGINEERING MANAGER NEEDED - TOLEDO, OHIO AREA
A Leading Manufacturing Company in the Toledo, Ohio area needs a Mold Engineering Manager. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in the creation and implementation of the technical strategy for the company.
Ensures all products meet company, industry, and any applicable regulatory standards. Works with Product Management to define and implement new features/content into existing products
Executes engineering tools such as DFMs, FMEAs, and FEAs in the product development stages and in problem solving to ensure that only the highest quality products are manufactured when taken into production
Develop, track, and report on department KPI s.
Ensures an innovative and creative environment for product engineers to initiate/ implement ideas, VA/VEs, and possible patents.
Provides for training, personnel enhancements, and staff development to insure a highly efficient and technically competent work force.
Executes processes / procedures / tools to increase department efficiency.
Develops and implement department policies and standards. Manages department budget for headcount, travel, and materials.
Performs administrative duties such as performance and merit reviews, hiring, etc.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Previous Plant Engineering Management Experience in a Manufacturing Setting is Required. 10 years of progressive Engineering experience with similar Products or Technologies.
BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of Education / Experience / Training.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams in successful engineering execution of complex machine systems.
Passion for learning, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
Plastics Expertise is Needed. Injection Molding or Blow Molding Plastic Experience is desired.
Demonstrated skills to coach for performance. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Machining & Metals experience.
