VENTEON is hiring a Mold Base Programmerto provide support for a client in Fraser, MI
The ideal candidate has previous CNC Machining experience in a non-production environment and experience with CAMWorks.
Position Summary This position requires entry to mid-level knowledge of machine operations to develop CNC programs according to standards. Entry to mid-level knowledge of tool feeds and speeds, tool changes, type of tool and sequence of operations to prepare CNC programs. Organize programs for most efficient machining, check programs and provide files to the CNC Operators for machining.
Principle Responsibilities
Entry to Mid-level knowledge of CNC programming, various CNC machines and machining practices used with provided CAD drawings and tolerances for CNC programming considerations
Develops 2D & 3D CNC programs from provided CAD drawings or files, with assistance / supervision.
Responsible for maintaining an organized file system for production drawings, programs and information.
Provide assistance to CNC machine operators with programs that were developed by the Programmer.
Participates and contributes to CAM Dept. process and procedure improvements.
Provides support and the ability to answer questions to other Mold Base Programmers
Displays positive interpersonal skills with customer and team members.
Keeps work area clean and organized.
Follows all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
Understands and follows company quality policies.
Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills Required
Mid-level 2D & 3D machining knowledge.
Mid-level CAD / CAM software knowledge for the generation of programs.
Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, and Mitsubishi CNC controls.
Familiarity with horizontal and vertical machining.
Understanding of Mold Base assembly and components, with basic understanding of mold base function.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
Project management abilities.
Willingness to assist others and support others.
Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
1 5 years of experience in related field.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of: MasterCAM or CAMWorks, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
