Manufacturing Engineer

Minimum 5 Years experience in Manufacturing Engineering

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to fill an opening with a Tier 1 Supplier located in Troy, MI. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience in secondary Manufacturing Processes like Ultrasonic Welding, lamination, etc.

Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering preferred
• Experience with PFMEA
• Tier 1 automotive experience 
• Expertise in Vacform and Edge wrap processes for door panels, headliners and IPs / Edge folding equipment and systems / laminating and folding systems
• Hands on building of equipment, design, start up and launch of equipment at facility
• Ultrasonic welding / infrared welding
• Lamination / heat hot melt dispersion glue applications / adhesive / glue systems
• Leather lamination
• Robotic cells / Automation
• Transfer systems
• Assembly processes
• Understanding of poke-yoke

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer

• Continuous Improvement of manufacturing processes 
• Analyze and improve efficiency of equipment, workflows, assembly methods, et al
• Troubleshoot and develop corrective actions for processes / equipment 
• Up to 50% travel to manufacturing sites for troubleshooting and training of technical staff 
• Develop FMEA's and Control Plans for new equipment
