Requirements of the Maintenance Manager

• Able to read and understand prints/schematics on all plant equipment.

  Maintains records of maintenance performed on equipment.

  Has thorough knowledge of electrical systems

  Has thorough knowledge of mechanical systems

  Has thorough knowledge of hydraulic systems

  Competent in welding.

  Competent slitter tooling maintenance.

  Competent in performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager

• Performs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Maintains appropriate documentation of such for compliance to OSHA, ISO, or other applicable standards.
• Site lead in janitorial services as well as landscape and trash removal management, parking lots, snow removal, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Effectively and clearly explains day-to-day tasks to staff, records all work done and forecasted completion dates when applicable. 
• Assists operators in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Dismantles, assembles, and installs industrial machinery, also involvement in remodeling and new build project planning.
• Follows company policies in enforcing safety regulations.
• Follows specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
