MAINTENANCE MANAGER NEEDED - FINDLAY, OHIO

A Leading Automotive Supplier near Findlay, Ohio needs a Maintenance Manager. Previous Maintenance Management Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is Required. Metal Stamping Press Expertise is Preferred. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Assist maintenance team with technical support and leadership using regular on floor review and assistance.
- Authorized to lead department in daily work to assure that work is properly prioritized and efficiently executed as emergency conditions are encountered.
- Maintain and improve as required a Preventative Maintenance Program using computer software to list required maintenance by machine, schedule frequency of maintenance, and track history of work completed. Identify and enter new machine maintenance schedules as required.
- Utilize Work Order system to establish and direct all repair priorities and maintain maintenance history of work completed on each machine.
- Assures that all new equipment is set up and inspected and in compliance with all safety requirements and correct point of operation safeguarding.
- Review quality of service and upgrade where needed for work performed by department.
- Advise and coordinate maintenance activities with management team.
- Participate in AQP, Steering Committee, and Apprenticeship Committee as required.
- Review Apprenticeship Program requirements and conduct reviews of apprentice s performance.
- Assess department needs in manpower, required skills, training required for new technology, and any other resources required to support overall maintenance efforts.
- Authorized to initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, processes and quality systems.
- Develop work plan for maintenance department during any shut down periods including special projects and support of any Kaizen activities.
- Evaluate and make ready all utilities and services needed for any new Presses, Welders, or other Assembly Equipment.
- Provide maintenance support for all production continuous improvement activities as well as developing proposals to increase the efficiency of the maintenance department.
- Initiate, review and approve purchase requisitions for parts and equipment utilizing sound purchasing practices for maintenance supplies.
- Authorized to maintain maintenance's inventory of spare and replacement parts.
- Legal Requirements as they apply to the EMS Program

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

 

- Previous Maintenance Management Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is Required.

 

-  CAD / EDMS
- Microsoft Office

- Press Maintenance
- Metal Stamping Expertise
- Robotic & Resistant Welding
- Forklift / Hi-Lo / Crane Experience

- Mechanical Power Press Operations
- Good Communication & Written Skills
- Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
