Job Description

Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator for a direct hire position with an Automotive Supplier client in Detroit, MI. This role is onsite, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Coordinator:
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies of materials, parts, and consumables, facilitating timely distribution.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts across all facilities to identify and address discrepancies.
  • Perform quality checks on inventory to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying and addressing root causes.
  • Assist in preparing inventory reports and other required documentation.
  • Recommend improvements for warehouse space utilization, including pallet consolidation and racking optimization.
  • Support company growth by participating in new system deployments and implementations.
  • Manage overstocks and obsolete materials to optimize product flow.
  • Enter data for new products and adjust prices as needed.
  • Ensure incoming products are received and processed according to company procedures.
  • Maintain precise procedures for all inventory-related tasks.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements of the Inventory Control Coordinator:
  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory control.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management methods and systems.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and formula creation.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up abilities.
  • Proficient in analyzing data and solving problems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all departments.
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on achieving results and providing excellent customer service.
