5 plus years of experience as an Internal Auditor
Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor for a leading manufacturing company located in the metro Detroit area. This position will be expected to identify and assess areas of significant business risk, implement the best audit and business practices, and identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
Requirements of the Senior Internal Auditor
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting.
- 5 plus years of experience as an external or internal auditor.
- Previous experience for/in a US automotive company.
- English proficiency. Fluency in Spanish is highly valued.
- Willingness to travel around 30% in the US.
- Self-motivated hands-on person able to work autonomously, independently, and with objectivity
- Solid knowledge of the Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors
- CIA certification is preferred
Responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor
- Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices and audit standards
- Carrying out regular internal testing and providing information on the reliability and efficacy of the organization's internal control system
- Compliance with applicable regulations, both internal and external.
- Compliance with the Code of Ethics.
- Efficacy in the Risk Management System.
- Ensuring all findings are discussed with relevant managers and comprehensive reports are written
- Ensure that any weaknesses and deficiencies are notified to Senior Management, suggest an improvement, and ensure that relevant remedial actions are taken.
