VENTEON Finance is hiring an INTERIM CORPORATE CONTROLLER to provide support in Southfield, MI. You will take charge of finance and accounting activities while the current Controller is on leave.
POSITION TYPE: Full Time contract expected to last approximately 3 months. In office 4 days, remote one day per week.
Requirements of the Interim Corporate Controller:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Econ, Business or related required.
Minimum 10 years of work experience in Finance and Accounting that includes managing.
Capable of overseeing all financial controls and transactional accounting activity such as month end close, journal entries, accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, etc.
Able to work with upper management, banks, 3rd party vendors and auditors.
Skills managing cash and disbursements.
Strong financial analytical capability.
Technical: Using Sage 300, but open to other Accounting system experience. Intermediate to advanced Excel capability needed.
Need a candidate already in the job market who can start as soon as an employment offer is tendered.
Duties of the Interim Corporate Controller:
Take direct lead in financial controlling and accounting activities.
Provide direct support to upper management understanding the goals, critical issues, deliverables, and timing.
Supervise the Assistant Controller and transactional accounting staff. Direct and drive activities accordingly.
Manage the day to day financial operations ensuring items are completed accurately, timely and with company guidelines and policies.
Hands on management of transactional accounting activity such as month end close, journal entries, accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, etc.
Handle escalated accounts payable/receivable and payroll issues as needed.
Produce and analyze reports, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
Complete projects and activities as assigned.
