Job Description

Our client is looking for IT Manager - Security located in Metro Detroit 

Responsibilities:

  1. Security Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and implement a security strategy aligned with business goals and regulations.
    • Assess the current security posture and identify areas for improvement.
    • Perform security analyses of systems, devices, and applications.
    • Create access policies and audit permissions.

  2. Risk Management:

    • Conduct risk assessments and maintain updated risk profiles.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance by collaborating with legal teams.

  3. Incident Response:

    • Develop and manage an incident response plan.
    • Lead investigations into security breaches and coordinate with vendors to respond effectively.

  4. Security Awareness & Training:

    • Create ongoing cybersecurity training to promote awareness and foster a security-focused culture.

  5. Technology & Integration:

    • Stay current on emerging security technologies and work with IT to implement necessary measures.

  6. Vendor Management:

    • Conduct vendor risk assessments and manage security requirements in contracts.
    • Monitor and audit vendor security practices, ensuring compliance and regular communication.
    • Provide training and updates on security policies to vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Information Security Management or a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, ISO standards (27001/27701), and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience leading change management in information security.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CAP, CISM, or GSLC preferred.
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
