Job Description

Our client is looking for an HRIS SME located in Metro Detroit, Michigan.

SUMMARY

Our client is an industry leading organization seeking an experienced HRIS SME to lead the day to day administration, optimization, and strategic direction of its Human Resources Information Systems. This individual will partner closely with Human Resources, Information Technology, Payroll, and business leaders to ensure system integrity, improve HR processes, support reporting needs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the daily operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems while serving as the primary technical resource for HR technology initiatives.

Lead and coordinate all HRIS operations, projects, and system initiatives.
Partner with Human Resources, Information Technology, Payroll, and business leaders to improve HR systems and processes.
Coordinate project activities across multiple functional areas and ensure successful project execution.
Assign, prioritize, and review the work of HRIS and systems specialists.
Maintain HRIS data integrity, security, functionality, and overall system performance.
Design and manage HR data processes, reporting structures, and employee information management.
Develop and support standard and ad hoc reports, queries, dashboards, and process documentation.
Lead system testing, upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality implementations.
Troubleshoot and resolve HRIS issues while providing timely support to end users.
Analyze business requirements and oversee system improvements and complex HR technology projects.
Train users on system functionality, best practices, and new features while developing training materials as needed.
Provide reporting, analytics, and data summaries to support strategic planning and business decisions.
Manage user security roles and system access.
 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
6 to 8+ years of progressive HRIS, HCM systems, or HR technology experience.
Full lifecycle HRIS implementation experience is required.
Strong understanding of HR processes including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
UKG experience is highly preferred.
Experience with UKG Pro and OBI Reporting is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas are required.
