Our client is looking for a HR Generalist to support Human Resources activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with plant leadership and employees while providing hands-on support across employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance and general HR administration.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR support for hourly and salaried employees
Assist with employee relations, investigations and disciplinary matters
Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding activities
Coordinate new employee orientation
Administer FMLA, leaves of absence and employee benefit inquiries
Maintain employee records and HR system information
Support workforce changes including transfers, layoffs and recalls
Assist with HR policies, procedures and employee handbook administration
Support EEO, affirmative action and other employment compliance requirements
Coordinate employee training and development activities
Prepare recurring HR reports and workforce information
Partner with plant managers and supervisors on employee and HR-related matters
Support employee engagement programs and plant events
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
3+ years of Human Resources Generalist or similar HR experience
Experience supporting hourly and salaried employees
Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills
Experience working with HRIS/timekeeping systems
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Manufacturing or plant HR experience strongly preferred
Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels
