Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Financial Coordinator for a leading manufacturing company located in the Three Rivers area. The position is responsible for the organization's accounting activities, including record keeping and reporting. Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Requirements of the Financial Coordinator
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; Advanced Degree preferred
5 plus years of professional experience; prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential for identifying and interpreting variances.
Able to identify patterns, trends, and variances in financial data, and to draw meaningful conclusions and make informed recommendations.
A solid understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in using data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP, BI, etc.).
Responsibilities of the Financial Coordinator
Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparing the audit work papers for activities.
Supporting and assisting accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.
Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to improve decision-making.
Developing and implementing financial plans, budgets, forecasting, and cost models.
Comparing actual costs to budgeted costs to identify discrepancies and investigate the reasons behind them.
Examining and interpreting accounting records to understand expenses and their impact on profitability.
Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions, ensuring they are accurate and supported by documentation.
Ensure accuracy by reconciling required accounts with the general ledger.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
