Our client is looking for FINANCIAL BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST located in Metro Detroit

SUMMARY

You ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our financial systems. From collaborating with stakeholders to fine-tuning workflows, your focus will be on ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance in D365 F&O. You ll work across departments, lead system improvement efforts, and support change management during key transitions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Act as a go-to expert for D365 F&O financial modules, handling day-to-day operations and user support

• Investigate and resolve technical issues that impact financial processes, including occasional after-hours support

• Liaise with external vendors or support providers as needed

• Partner with accounting and finance teams to gather requirements and shape system solutions

• Customize and configure D365 features to reflect evolving business needs

• Perform functional testing to ensure updates and enhancements perform as expected

• Maintain and update system documentation, including process flows and training materials

• Train end users to navigate and use system tools effectively

• Coordinate with IT and external resources on system upgrades, feature rollouts, and integrations

• Monitor system stability and performance, proactively identifying areas for refinement

• Maintain financial compliance through system controls and structured processes

• Manage workflows and access permissions within D365

• Support change initiatives, including onboarding new acquisitions or retiring legacy platforms

• Contribute to major rollout projects, including upcoming plant transitions to D365

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and help ensure successful deployment of new features.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft D365 F&O, especially within core financial operations

• Deep understanding of accounting practices and financial workflows

• Strong diagnostic skills with an analytical mindset

• Collaborative spirit with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

• Clear and effective communicator across all levels of the organization

• Skilled in ERP configuration, data validation, and testing
