Field Service Engineer
Minimum 3 years of Field Service Experience
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Field Service tech to fill an opening with a Construction Company located in Southeast Michigan. Candidates must be able to travel, work on-site and work with IT / Electrical Equipment.
Requirements of the Field Service Tech
Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
Three (3) years of experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair, electrical wiring theory, principles, and practices.
Must have experience in telecommunications industry including but not limited to system installation, circuit design and flow standards, and troubleshooting.
Must have experience using test equipment, such as but not limited to network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multi meters, and ground fault locators.
Must have ability to obtain a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Must have ability to complete an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Training program, and obtain an OSHA 10-Hour Safety Card.

Responsibilities of Field Service Tech
Troubleshooting. Diagnoses and isolates issues with equipment, access control systems, and network infrastructure.
Repair. Performs corrective repairs on field devices, access control hardware (e.g., card readers, door controllers), and AV components. Restores functionality to systems after equipment failure, environmental damage, or communication loss.
Testing. Tests ITS, access control, and AV systems using diagnostic tools such as multi-meters, network/spectrum analyzers, and personal computers (PC). Performs acceptance testing and quality verification on new installations and repaired systems. Verifies proper operation of workstations, internet protocol (IP) based devices, and end-user AV equipment (e.g., monitors, speakers, microphones).
Installation. Installs access control, and AV components per engineered drawings, construction plans, and manufacturer specifications. Interprets schematics, network topology, as-built drawings, and interconnect wiring for system deployment and integration.
Preventative Maintenance. Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment, access control hardware, AV systems, and supporting infrastructure.
