Field Operations Manager

Minimum 3 years of Operations Management Experience

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to fill an opening with a Construction Company located in Metro Detroit. Must have experience managing teams in the field for construction (or similar) projects. 

Requirements of the Field Operations Manager

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or a Related field preferred 

• Leadership and team development 

• 5+ years in Field Operations Management and the ability to oversee large scale, complex field projects

• Project Budgeting and Financial forecasting experience 

• Performance Management, KPI implementation and reporting experience

Responsibilities of the Field Operations Manager

• Oversee day-to-day operations of field staff, inventory control, and fleet/equipment management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate closely with Field Supervision to unify field and office staff, fostering high morale, productivity, and efficient, high-quality work performed safely. 

• Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities to support efficient resource management.

• Team Leadership, Development, and Engagement: Lead, support, and engage field and warehouse teams by fostering a collaborative work environment, implementing training programs, and developing technical competencies.

• Optimize field scheduling, inventory control, and fleet management by refining processes, implementing strategic initiatives, and leveraging technology such as ERP systems. Enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.

• Proactively identify and address conflicts within the team or with cross-functional partners, fostering a solutions-oriented and constructive work culture.

• Oversee strategies for inventory control, consumable management, and fleet operations to ensure optimal resource
  availability, cost efficiency, and adherence to organizational and safety standards.

• Participate in physical inventory counts as needed, supervise the process, and reconcile any discrepancies by determining and implementing corrective actions.
