Extrusion Engineer

Minimum 7+ years of Extrusion Engineering experience

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Extrusion Engineer to fill an opening with a Tier 1 automotive supplier located in Metro Detroit. Must have experience with plastic/polymer extruded products & processes.

Requirements of the Extrusion Engineer

8-10 years of work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with extruded products and extrusion processes
DFMEA / PFMEA experience
Knowledge of design and material specifications
DVP&R and product development knowledge

Responsibilities of the Extrusion Engineer

This position will focus on extruded polymer (monolayer & multi-layer) products.
Acts as technical consultant in area of specialization for products and/or processes.
Leads Product Design & Development
Preferably have some hands-on experience w/ extrusion process.
Identifies design solutions necessary to meet the required engineering, manufacturing and financial targets.
Prepares and maintains up-to-date engineering records according to APQP and QMS requirements.
