Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrician for a key role in Auburn Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems and controls, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout for industrial electrical installations.
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cables, lighting fixtures, and other components per CSA, UL, customer, and company standards.
Test electrical and electronic components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
Install and test electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, and related components.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and devices.
Provide technical assistance during installation of controls, electrical equipment, and pneumatic systems at customer sites.
Demonstrate equipment usage to customer personnel as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
Supply the Controls Engineering department with operational and technical data and recommend design or process modifications as needed.
Provide assistance in related functions as required or directed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures as outlined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, relevant legislation, and company guidelines.
Exercise the authority and responsibility to stop production if unsafe conditions are observed.
Promptly report any safety-related concerns to a supervisor or member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Post-secondary diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
Licensed Industrial Electrician (issued by an applicable province or state).
Minimum of 5 years of experience with inspection, testing, assembly equipment, and automation systems.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams related to electrical systems and PLCs.
Proven team player with excellent collaboration skills in a team-based work environment.
