VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring an ELECTRICAL CONTROLS ENGINEER to support a plant in Greenville, South Carolina. You will be updating PLC Programing, troubleshooting issues, and working on continuous improvement projects.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. In- plant. Long term Contract (Minimum 8 months). Potential to convert to a direct hire after project is completed. PAY: Open based on education level and years of relevant experience.
Requirements of the Manufacturing Electrical Controls Engineer:
B.S. Engineering (or equivalent experience working in engineering role for 5+ years).
Siemens PLC programming experience.
Experience with programming / setup of camera systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.).
Strong critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of SCADA systems and how they function.
Knowledge of MES systems/layer and how they function.
Ability to read electrical drawings.
SQL Server Management Studio querying.
Fast learner, able to learn new proprietary Controls standard.
Siemens TIA Portal experience (mostly troubleshooting, ground up programming not required).
Vision system experience.
Duties of the Manufacturing Electrical Controls Engineer:
Responsible for the design, development, programming, and ongoing support of electrical control systems.
Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Maintenance, and Automation teams.
Modify and optimize existing equipment to meet changing production requirements.
Improving / continuous improvement projects working hand-in-hand with MFE personnel. Example projects: camera integrations, poke-yoke / sensor installations, updating PLC programming, etc.
Troubleshooting machine downtime / PLC issues with IT and Maintenance Controls teams.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.
Maintain documentation, backups, and version control for control systems.
