Our client is seeking a BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST to join their team in Metro Detroit.
POSITION OVERVIEW
An established and highly respected manufacturing organization based in Metro Detroit is looking to add a talented Business Systems Analyst to their growing team. This individual will play a key role in supporting enterprise-wide business systems with a primary focus on Plex ERP and Ignition integration software. This role blends technical expertise, business process improvement, and project leadership to enhance system functionality, ensure data accuracy, and drive operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will act as an internal consultant, collaborating with various business units to manage, optimize, and enhance ERP and related systems. This position offers the opportunity to lead process improvements, system customizations, integrations, and training efforts across multiple locations.
Provide day-to-day administration and end-user support for Plex ERP and other enterprise platforms.
Troubleshoot system issues and deliver timely solutions across various functional areas.
Develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive training programs, documentation, and work instructions.
Champion best practices and standardize processes across the enterprise to maximize the value of technology investments.
Lead and manage technical projects, from requirements gathering through implementation and post-go-live support.
Oversee system configurations, security audits, and data compliance in alignment with company policies.
Analyze and report on business data to support operational and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver system enhancements and integrations.
Occasional international travel may be required to support global operations.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
5-10 years of experience in business systems, software development, or database management roles, with leadership experience in technical teams.
Strong working knowledge of Plex ERP or comparable ERP systems, preferably within manufacturing or automotive industries.
Proficiency with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Information Builders Web Focus or SAP Crystal Reports is preferred.
Additional programming skills (Visual Basic, Python, C#) are a plus.
Solid understanding of business operations in areas such as Accounting, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
